The Captain
Captain John is recognized for his many talents. He
specializes in exploits above or under the
water, treasure hunting, day dreaming, single malt scotch, saving fair
maidens, story telling and beach combing. He is also known to take an
occasional sip of sherry.
The Admiral A fair maiden rescued
by our illustrious captain many many years wpe1.jpg (86709 bytes) ago,
has become an integral part of the crew. Planning, reading,
provisioning, sun bathing, giving directions and criticizing are some
of her many specialties. Being an accomplished scuba diver she is also
in charge of all underwater maintenance.
Deckhand John
The
sportsman of the group he is known not so much for his wpe21.jpg (44037
bytes) exploits, but his descriptions of them. He fishes, and his
skills at this sport are a perfect example of why they call the sport
fishing and not catching. Trail biking, or how to get lost in the woods
is another of his many accomplishments. But his real skill is napping.
It has been said, that if sleep was an asset, he'd be a rich man.
Passenger Carol Often
a member of the crew, she is a true specialist. Unlike the rest
wpe27.jpg (8408 bytes) of the crew she focuses her talents in one
direction, sunbathing. Armed with SPF 2 through 40, she spends so much
time planning and applying the lotions, by the time she's done, it's
time for evening cocktails.
Deckhand Dave
The youngest crew
member spends most of his time looking for wpe23.jpg (68409 bytes)land
and drinking beer. Although an occasional sailor his real love is
chasing a little dimpled ball around the golf course. To David, the
ocean is one very large water hazard, one he'd rather avoid. Proving
the apple never falls from from the tree, Deckhand Dave also has an
affinity for single malt scotch.
Passenger Kathleen One of
our newer crew members, brings to the group, wpe29.jpg (7316 bytes)
dignity, a lap for her husband, Deckhand John to nap on, and a
tolerance for spending no more than 2 nights aboard Mast Confusion.
Passenger Jennifer
Jen
Gibbs decided that she had so much fun on past summers cruises she has
signed on permanently as a crew member when she became Mrs. Burns. Yup
that's right, she has married Deckhand Dave. Jen has proven to be one
of our more witty crew members. In looking for names for our new boat,
we have to admit hers were some of the best. One of her leading
suggestions was "Breakin' Wind", it went the the family she insisted.
Then added the dinghy could be named "Down Wind." Obviously we did not
choose that name.
Mascots
We now have two mascots, Scarlet
& Scrappy. Scarlet being Jennifer's Dog and Scrappy belongs to
Dave. However, there is one problem, no dogs are allowed on board,
Admirals orders!
